How do I get a quote for a home battery?

The fastest way to get a quote is to fill in the form on this page. We call you back within one working day to arrange a survey at your home.

The form asks for your name, email, phone, postcode, monthly bill range, and property type. That is enough for us to start the conversation and book a survey.

After the survey, you receive a written quotation with the battery capacity, installation cost, and warranty terms. No deposit, no obligation.

Can I phone you directly?

Yes. Call us on 0141 230 0198 during business hours. If we are on another call, leave a message and we will call you back the same working day.

We are happy to answer initial questions by phone — whether a battery is likely to work for your home, what the survey involves, and what to expect from the quotation.

For a detailed cost estimate, we need to survey your property. The phone call is the starting point, not the finish line.

Can I message you on WhatsApp?

Yes. Message us on WhatsApp at 07777 513366. This is useful if you prefer to send photos of your meter position or consumer unit before the survey.

WhatsApp is a good option if you work during the day and cannot take a phone call. We typically respond within a few hours during business hours.

The WhatsApp number is the same as our mobile contact — 07777 513366.

Can I email you?

Yes. Email us at info@scottishenergyefficiency.co.uk. This is the best option if you have a detailed question or want to send documents before the survey.

Email is useful for sending photos of your existing setup, copies of your electricity bill, or questions about the installation process. We respond within one working day.

For booking a survey, the form on this page or a phone call is faster.

What happens at the survey?

A surveyor visits your home, looks at your meter, consumer unit and the space available, and talks through how and when you use electricity. Nothing is installed or sold on the day.

They check where the battery can sit safely: a utility room, garage, cupboard or external wall. In a tenement flat this is often the trickiest part, and in a larger Broughty Ferry or Perth Road villa it is usually a question of which of several spaces gives the shortest cable run.

They also confirm whether your existing solar panels, if you have them, can be connected, and what notification the local electricity network operator, Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks (SSEN), needs before the battery is connected.

Your written quotation follows the survey. It sets out the battery size, every cost line, the VAT treatment and the warranty terms, so you can decide in your own time. Interest-free credit up to £30,000, subject to status.

What areas do you cover?

We cover Dundee, Angus, and north-east Fife — the DD postcode area and adjacent parts of KY and AB postcodes. This includes Carnoustie, Arbroath, Montrose, Forfar, St Andrews, and Cupar.

If you are unsure whether you are in our area, call us or send the form with your postcode. We will let you know straight away.

See our guide on battery storage in Angus and north-east Fife for more detail on coverage.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Do you install home batteries in Dundee?

Yes. We install home battery storage across Dundee and the wider Tayside area through our MCS-certified partners. Every installation starts with a survey at your home, where the meter, consumer unit and available space are checked, followed by a written, no-obligation quote that sets out the battery, the work involved and the warranty terms.

Can I add a battery to my existing solar panels?

Yes. Most existing solar PV systems can take a battery. With a hybrid inverter the battery connects directly; with a standard string inverter, an AC-coupled battery with its own inverter is added. Your panels keep generating as before, and the surveyor confirms which setup suits your system and what the network operator needs to be told.

Is finance available?

Interest-free credit up to £30,000, subject to status. The terms are shown on your written quotation alongside the full installation price. You are never obliged to use credit: you can pay in full or arrange your own finance, and the installation price stays the same whichever you choose.

How do I get a quote?

Call 0141 230 0198 or send the quote form on this page. We call you back within one working day to book a survey at your home. After the survey you receive a written, no-obligation quote with the battery size, every cost line and the warranty terms, so you can decide in your own time.

How quickly will you call me back?

We call you back within one working day of receiving your form. If you phone us and we are on another call, leave a message and we call back the same working day. The call is short: we confirm your postcode, ask a few questions about your home and book a survey time that suits you.

What information do you need for a quote?

The form asks for your name, email, phone, postcode, monthly bill range, and property type. That is enough to start. The surveyor gathers the rest during the property visit. You do not need any technical details in advance, although a recent electricity bill helps the surveyor understand your usage.

Do you charge for the survey?

There is no charge for the survey and no obligation to go ahead. A surveyor visits your home, checks the meter, consumer unit and available space, and you then receive a written quotation. You can take your time, ask questions and decide whether to proceed.

Can I WhatsApp you photos of my setup?

Yes. WhatsApp us at 07777 513366 with photos of your meter position, consumer unit, or existing solar inverter. This helps us prepare for the survey. Photos are optional, and the surveyor still visits your home before any quote is written.

What areas do you cover?

We cover Dundee, Angus, and north-east Fife — the DD postcode area and adjacent parts of KY and AB postcodes. If you are unsure, send the form with your postcode and we will confirm. That includes Broughty Ferry, Monifieth, Carnoustie and St Andrews.
